Tasting Note

The Bodega Cerrón La Calera del Escaramujo 2022 is a vibrant Jumilla red, showing ripe cherries and plums with subtle herbs and spice. Fresh acidity, fine tannins, and a mineral undertone give it balance, while the persistent finish highlights its elegance and fruit-driven character.

Product Notes

Bodega Cerrón La Calera del Escaramujo is a prestigious winery located in the heart of Spain's Castilla-La Mancha region. Their flagship wine is a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, resulting in a rich and complex flavor profile. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, adding layers of depth and smoothness to the already plush palate. Notes of ripe blackberries, vanilla, and toasted oak dance on the nose, giving way to a velvety texture and long, lingering finish on the palate. Bodega Cerrón's La Calera del Escaramujo wine is a true expression of Spanish winemaking excellence.

About the Winery

Bodega Cerrón

Bodega Cerrón is a family-owned winery located in Fuente-Álamo, in the province of Albacete, within the Jumilla Denomination of Origin (DO) in southeastern Spain. The Cerrón family has been cultivating vineyards in the region since 1895, initially selling their Monastrell grapes to local cooperatives. In 2011, the family decided to establish their own winery, focusing on producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of their high-altitude vineyards.
