Tasting Note

It has greenish yellow colour with golden tones, medium intensity aroma, clean, enveloping with hints of ripe fruit (apple, melon and pineapple) and fine herbs of the field (fennel and mint). The palate is especially pleasant, with a balance between the sweet sensations that bring body and volume, and the acid flavours that give freshness, in addition to some mineral notes of great complexity provided by the slate soil from which it comes; offering a set of long and pleasant sensations.

Product Notes

Bodegas Godeval is a Spanish winery located in the Valdeorras region, specializing in the production of exceptional white wines. Their flagship wine, Godeval Cepas Vellas, is made from the indigenous Godello grape variety and is a true reflection of the unique terroir of the region. The grapes used in the production of this wine are sourced from old vines that are over 25 years old, which imparts an incredible depth and complexity to the final product. Expect aromas of white flowers, citrus and stone fruits, followed by a vibrant palate with great minerality and a long finish. This wine is a great companion to seafood, white meats, and fresh cheeses.

About the Winery

Bodegas Godeval

Godeval is a Spanish wine estate that was established in 1986 to bring out the best of the white grape varietal, Godello, which grew on the Valdeorras appellations. Since then, the company has been maintaining the same quality and structure of its flagship varietal. The vineyards are located in the historical region of Xagoaza. During the 1970s, this region saw a high level of revival process, where the Godello varietal was given the prime importance.
