Lively tannins are perfectly balanced with bright acidity and exceptional fruit concentration, creating finesse and complexity. Red liquorice, cardamom and clove linger on a smooth, mouth-watering finish.

It is produced by one of the country’s most renowned wineries and is made with grapes grown on the steep slopes of the Franschhoek Mountains. The wine is deep garnet in color and has complex aromas of red fruit, spice, and earthy tones. On the palate, it is refined, elegant, and well-balanced, with notes of ripe cherries, raspberry, and vanilla. The tannins are soft and integrated, giving way to a long and lingering finish. About the Winery

Founded in 1776, Boekenhoutskloof remains located in the extreme and furthest corner or edge of the breath-taking Franschhoek Valley in South Africa. The winery’s name refers to the ravine of a Cape Beech tree indigenous to the area, known as Boekenhout. The tree has always been a prized material making high-quality furniture.
