About Booker

Booker Vineyard & Winery is a highly regarded estate located in the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles, California. Founded in 2001 by Eric Jensen and his wife Lisa, the winery is rooted in a deep respect for the land and its history. The property was originally farmed by the Booker brothers, Claude and Dick, local farmers known for their generosity and community spirit. Jensen purchased the land with a vision to produce world-class Rhône-style wines, releasing the first Booker vintage in 2005.

Eric Jensen serves as founder and winemaker, shaping the estate’s philosophy around meticulous farming and expressive, terroir-driven wines. Booker has become a leader in sustainable agriculture, with its estate vineyards certified organic and Regenerative Organic Certified®, reflecting a strong commitment to soil health and environmental stewardship.

The winery focuses primarily on Rhône varieties, including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Viognier, which thrive in the region’s limestone-rich soils and maritime-influenced climate. Booker’s wines are known for their richness, purity of fruit, and structural balance, combining California intensity with elegance and finesse. Produced in limited quantities, many releases are highly sought after and distributed primarily through allocation and direct-to-consumer channels, reinforcing Booker’s reputation as one of Paso Robles’ benchmark producers.
