Tasting Note

Pale gold in colour, this wine opens with aromas of stone fruits, rose and a touch of vanilla spice from the oak ageing. The palate has rich peach and apple characters, with a creamy, honeyed texture lifted by stony minerality. It is intense and concentrated through to the fresh finish.

Product Notes

Ca' dei Frati Brolettino Lugana is a white wine, made from the Trebbiano variety, grown in the Lugana region of Lombardy, Italy. This wine has a bright, golden-yellow color, with fragrant aromas of white peach, pear, and orange blossom. Its taste is full-bodied, yet well-balanced and refreshing, with crisp acidity and a long, lingering finish. This wine pairs perfectly well with a variety of seafood dishes, such as grilled prawns, lobster salad, or a light pasta dish. Ca' dei Frati Brolettino Lugana is an excellent example of Italian white wine that combines the richness of flavor with the delicacy of aroma.

About the Winery

Ca' dei Frati

Though a mention of the Ca Dei Frati community can be traced back to as early as 1782, the wine label was officially established during 1939. It was during this time that Felice Dal Cero shifted to a cellar in Lugana found in the district of Sirmione in Italy. His son Pietro took the legacy forward in 1969 when he created the first wine under the Casa Dei Frati label, later renamed as Ca dei Frati. Today this label is managed by his wife and children very efficiently.
