Tasting Note

Very beautiful deep red color, scent of very ripe blackcurrant, blackberry fruit, round and warm palate with lots of spices. This wine is currently still a little young although already very pleasant, and offers a potential of guard of 10 years.

Product Notes

Chateau Thivin Côte de Brouilly Cuvée Zaccharie is a renowned red wine from the Beaujolais region of France. This exceptional wine is made from Gamay grapes grown on the steep hillsides of the Côte de Brouilly appellation. The wine exudes aromas of ripe red fruits, floral notes, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is elegant and well-balanced with silky tannins and a long, velvety finish. Cuvée Zaccharie is a special selection from Chateau Thivin, named after the founder of the estate and represents the pinnacle of their winemaking expertise. This wine is perfect for special occasions and gourmet meals.

About the Winery

Chateau Thivin

The history of the French family-owned wine estate of Chateau Thivin dates back to 1877. Zacharie and Marguerite Geoffray purchased this estate and the 2-hectares of vineyard in the nearby Le Clos estate during this year. Today, the fifth and sixth-generation Geoffray family members manage the estate. While the winemaking practices followed represent the estate's rich legacy, you can also see some new viticultural practices introduced here by the younger generation members.
