Tasting Note

This wine has a pale lime-lemony colour. A distinctive mineral nose with hints of graphite and fresh lemons on the background. Juicy and elegant on the palate, showing fresh citrus flavours in a long and refreshing finish.

Product Notes

Churchill's Estate Douro White is a crisp and refreshing white wine that hails from the Douro Valley of Portugal. It is a blend of indigenous grape varieties including Viosinho, Rabigato, and Verdelho. The wine is aged for six months in French oak barrels, which impart a subtle complexity to the wine. On the nose, the Churchill's Estate Douro White offers floral and citrus aromas with a hint of minerality. The palate is lively and balanced with flavors of tropical fruits, green apple, and a touch of hazelnut. This wine pairs well with seafood, salads, and grilled vegetables. It is a perfect accompaniment to a warm summer evening.

About the Winery

Churchill's

Churchill’s is a renowned winery located in the wine region of the Douro in Portugal. Established by Johnny Graham in 1981, the company serves as the last independent and existing British port house in the area. Born and educated in Porto, the youngest son of the Graham family committed himself to learn the craft and art of port-making after his father had to sell their business in 1970. Since he was 20, Johnny worked and toiled in Douro Valley’s terraced vineyards.
