Tasting Note

This has a beautifully aromatic nose with sweet berry and sour cherry fruit, some floral notes, and a hint of leafy greenness. The palate has lovely focus with more of the sour cherry character, a hint of undergrowth, and a lovely finely spiced structure to the fruit. This is pretty serious: it’s got bags of Marlborough character.

Product Notes

Corofin Settlement Vineyard East Slope Pinot Noir is a delightful red wine with a rich variety of tastes and aromas. This Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown in the east-facing slope of the Settlement Vineyard, located in the heart of Central Otago, New Zealand. The wine has dark cherry notes and hints of spice and earthy undertones, which combine to create a complex and satisfying flavor. Its smooth and silky texture is combined with well-balanced tannins for a long and elegant finish. The Corofin winery owners have a great passion for growing grapes and making exceptional wines that reflect the area's unique terroir. This Pinot Noir is a perfect addition to any wine lover's collection and a great accompaniment to a wide variety of meals.

About the Winery

Corofin

The story of Corofin remains closely knit with the history and ventures of the Paterson family. The two remain linked inextricably through the means of different and distinct places and people. The Corofin village located on the Fergus River in the county of Clare in Ireland served as the home and origin of Clifton House. It was the residence and home of Marcus Joseph Paterson. He lived there with his family before they immigrated to New Zealand.
