The 2022 vintage is a powerful and complex expression of this site, with intense aromas of cranberry, sour cherry, tomato leaf, and nutmeg on the nose. The palate is equally decadent, with notes of cocoa, black cherry, wood smoke and mint. Deftly integrated tannins, refreshing acidity and a dense core of fruit indicate it's ability to age beyond 2035.

Crystallum Bona Fide Pinot Noir is a rich and complex wine that exemplifies excellent craftsmanship and exceptional quality. It is a product of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in South Africa, which is known for producing some of the finest Pinot Noirs in the world. The wine's bouquet is an aromatic blend of dark cherries, raspberries, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance of ripe fruit and earthy notes, underscored by hints of spice and forest floor. Its smooth and velvety tannins lead to a long and memorable finish, making Crystallum Bona Fide Pinot Noir a perfect choice for any special occasion.

About the Winery

More often than not, the passion for wines will bring you back into the wine industry, regardless of how distant you are from the same. This is what happened with the Finlayson brothers in South Africa as well. Though they belonged to the third generation of the famous Finlayson winemakers in this area, they weren’t involved in the family’s winemaking business forever, like most other kids. While Andrew went on to study architecture, Peter-Allan pursued his studies in philosophy and economics at the Stellenbosch University. Though they studied completely different subjects, their love for winemaking united them.
