Tasting Note

This luscious Cabernet exhibits inviting aromas of dark red fruit, blood orange and fresh plum on the nose, with undertones of rose petals, cinnamon bun, and gingerbread. Flavours of dark fruit, black olives and blackberries, are followed by hints of moss and savoury dried herbs. This age-worthy Cabernet has great density and length, and is complex yet nimble on the back palate with a long, balanced aftertaste.

Product Notes

Grgich Hills Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent wine that exhibits a dark ruby color and a complex array of aromas, including black cherry, black currant, and hints of tobacco and chocolate. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with flavors of dark fruit and spice that are perfectly balanced by smooth, velvety tannins. This wine is aged in French oak barrels for 21 months, resulting in a superbly structured wine that is both delicious and elegant. Grgich Hills Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is best served at room temperature and pairs perfectly well with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, stews, and game. Overall, it's a great wine for anyone looking for an exceptional drinking experience.

About the Winery

Grgich Hills Estate

Miljenko mike Grgich got international recognition at the Paris tasting in 1976. This is a historic blind-tasting event where eminent French judges could swirl and sniff different white burgundies of France and upstart chardonnays in napa valley. After tallying the scores, the judges got shocked because mike Grgich’s chateau Montelena chardonnay had been picked as the world’s finest white wine. Because of the results, the international establishment was stunned, which is how mike became so reputable in the world of winemakers.
