Tasting Note

A stunning example of a restrained, cool climate Chardonnay. Intense citrus aromas and classic soft fruits, jasmine and walnut are layered with honey and vanilla notes. The palate is beautifully balanced with a refreshing, crisp acidity and a distinct minerality. Concentrated and refined, with a crisp, clean citrus finish.

Product Notes

Lismore Estate Reserve Chardonnay is a premium, world-class wine produced in the Western Cape of South Africa. Made by the talented South African winemaker, Samantha O'Keefe, this Chardonnay represents the pinnacle of her craft. The wine boasts a complex bouquet of tropical fruits, lemon curd, and vanilla, which is beautifully balanced with a crisp acid and minerality on the palate. This elegant wine is fermented naturally in French oak barrels, which imparts a subtle smokiness and a creamy texture to the wine. With a refined and long-lasting finish, Lismore Estate Reserve Chardonnay is a must-try for any wine lover seeking to experience the best of South African wine.

About the Winery

Lismore

It was when Samantha O’Keefe, a Berkley-educated student, moved to a quiet little town in South Africa that the seeds for the Lismore Wine Estate were sown. She moved to the beautiful town of Greyton, located at the bottom of the Riviersonderend range of mountains. Though there weren’t any wine producers nearby, she realised the potential of the land, thanks to the excellent climatic conditions and terroir quality of the place.
