Product Notes

Miolo Family Vineyards Pinot Noir is a stunning red wine with a complex blend of flavours and aromas. It is produced from the finest Pinot Noir grapes grown in Brazil's Vale dos Vinhedos region, famous for its high-quality wines. The nose of this wine is intense and floral, with hints of ripe cherry, raspberry and blackberry. On the palate, the fruit flavours intensify, giving way to notes of chocolate and vanilla. The wine is medium-bodied and well-balanced, with a smooth and silky texture that lingers on the finish. Overall, Miolo Family Vineyards Pinot Noir is a versatile and elegant wine that pairs perfectly with a variety of dishes, from sushi to roast beef.

Tasting Notes

Aromas and flavours of raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, plum, warm spices and chocolate. A medium-bodied wine with a sweet and velvety texture and delicate tannins.

About the Winery

Miolo

During 1897, Giuseppe Miolo moved from Veneto to Brazil with nothing but an undying passion for grapes and wines. He sold his possessions and bought some land in Vale dos Vinhedos to grow grapes there. Little did he know that his descendants would take his wine passion forward and set up Miolo Wines, one of the most popular Brazilian wine brands in the world today!

In the 1970s, Miolo was known for growing European grape varieties in Brazil with the highest quality of professionalism and passion. It was during 1990 that the group produced its first in-house wine into the market. This wine was hugely successful because it was appreciated by wine lovers across the globe. Today, Miolo Wines are exported to over 30 countries, which is incredible growth, indeed!

Since the Miolo Winery is located at an elevation range of around 450 to 650m, they are ideal for producing the choicest quality of grapes. You can find these vineyards towards the South of Brazil. The grapes produced in these vineyards are strictly followed as per the rules mentioned by the DO (Denomination of Origin). These vineyards have a ceiling on the limit of annual grape production. Only 2.5kg of grapes per plant, 3kg per plant and 4kg per plant should be produced annually for red, white and sparkling wines respectively, here.

Today, the Miolo Wine Group is the biggest Brazilian wine exporter in the world. Around 10million litres of wine are produced here annually and the areas where the grapes are cultivated span across a whopping 1000 hectares. Grapes cultivated from these lands are processed in four wineries across Brazil and these include Vinicola Miolo, Seival, Almaden Winery and Terranova Winery. This group has an international presence in over 30 countries around the world.

Many varieties of grapes such as Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Tannat, Syrah, Viognier, Tempranillo and many more are grown in the vineyards of Miolo.
