Product Notes

Nicolis Seccal Ripasso Valpolicella DOC Classico Superiore is a rich and powerful red wine produced in the Valpolicella region of Italy. The wine is made using the ripasso method, where the young wine from the most recent harvest is re-fermented with the skins and lees of the grapes used to make Amarone, resulting in a fuller body and intense flavors. The wine boasts an intense ruby red color with aromas of dark fruits, spices and oak. On the palate, it showcases complex flavors of blackberry, cherry and plum with hints of vanilla and chocolate, leading to a long and persistent finish. This wine is an excellent pairing with roasted meats, game, and aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Nicolis

The Italian, family-owned wine company of Nicolis was founded in the year 1951 because of the love the family had towards the rich lands of Valpolicella. Located in the heart of Cariano's San Pietro region, Nicolis wines are made with great care and respect for the land where the grapes are cultivated.
