Tasting Note

Upon release it has a subtle lemon hue. The bouquet is vibrant, an intoxicating assortment of tropical and citrus. Heady aromas of passionfruit and pineapple flirt temptingly against a backdrop of grapefruit, green apple, lemon peel and a hint of gunflint. The mouthfeel is textured yet precise, with a rousing whip of acidity and simmering phenolics that give the wine increased structure and length. A complex and serious Sauvignon Blanc, displaying intense varietal character, a multi- faceted palate, and a long salivating finish.

Product Notes

Pegasus Bay Sauvignon Blanc is a stunning white wine hailing from the famed Marlborough region of New Zealand. This crisp and refreshing wine showcases vibrant notes of tropical fruits, including juicy pineapple, zesty citrus, and subtle herbaceous undertones. The cool climate and mineral-rich soil of the vineyards add complexity and depth to the wine, creating a balanced and elegant flavor profile. With a bright acidity and a smooth finish, Pegasus Bay Sauvignon Blanc is perfect for pairing with fresh seafood dishes, salads, or simply enjoyed on its own. This exquisite wine is a true expression of the terroir and craftsmanship of its producers.

About the Winery

Pegasus Bay

The story of Pegasus Bay starts with the history of the Donaldson family. The family has been involved and immersed in all the processes of the wine industry since the early 1970s. They were pioneers and developers of various unique and better ways of growing grapevines locally and producing wines from them. Ivan Donaldson, a consultant neurologist and associate professor, became interested in the art of winemaking. It started when Christine, his girlfriend, handed him a book named Wine, written by Hugh Johnson, a legend in the English industry.
