Tasting Note

Inviting aromas of dark and blue fruits together with subtle notes of chocolate and spices with hints of blue flowers and crushed stones. Medium- to full-bodied, complex and structured, but ethereal and weightless at the same time. That’s where generosity meets delicacy.

Product Notes

Petrolo Torrione is an exquisite red wine produced in the heart of Tuscany, Italy. This blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes reflects the rich history and terroir of the region. The wine exudes aromas of ripe red fruits, dried herbs, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is elegant and well-structured, with silky tannins and a long, lingering finish. Petrolo Torrione is a perfect pairing for hearty meals such as grilled meats or pasta dishes. This wine truly captures the essence of the Tuscan countryside and is a must-try for any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Petrolo

The history of the Italian wine label of Petrolo dates back to 1716 when the early traces of the wine-rich regions of Chianti centre, Carmignano, Pomino and Val d’Arno di Sopra were identified. By 1834, this region was acquired by the owner of Petrolo wines, Giorgio Perrin. It was he who discovered that along with the French grape varietals, Sangiovese could also be planted in this region, especially in the place called Campo Asciutto (known as Boggina today).
