Tasting Note

La Poulosa is always a seductive little number, as notes of spearmint and black currant waft from the glass. Glossy black cherries and a certain sweet mossy-ness hits the palate. Silky, sweet and refined, black strawberries and plum stones emerge with aeration. Sweet, suave tannins and gently textured this is more open and immediately attractive versus the edgier, tighter La Vitoriana

Product Notes

Raúl Pérez La Poulosa La Vizcaina de Vinos is a Spanish wine that is full-bodied and rich in flavor. This wine is made from Mencia grapes that are grown in the Bierzo region of Spain. Raúl Pérez, the winemaker, is known for his dedication to crafting high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, which gives it a smooth and velvety texture. On the palate, flavors of ripe dark berries, black cherries, and a subtle hint of vanilla are present. Raúl Pérez La Poulosa La Vizcaina de Vinos is a perfect wine to pair with hearty dishes such as stews, roasted meats, and strong cheeses.

About the Winery

Raúl Pérez

Raúl Pérez is a unique winery that, unlike traditional wineries, changes and modifies its brands, wine types, and vineyards according to the varying factors of nature and its creator’s creativity. Its venture starts with a link between the owner Raúl Pérez and Castro Ventosa. The latter was a family-owned winery in Valtuille in Leon’s Bierzo region. The wines there inspired the aspiring oenologist and winemaker, leading him to develop and create his winery.
