Tasting Note

A vibrant spicy, brambly nose of boysenberry, plum, licorice, and a little new leather. The mouth is substantial without being heavy, with flavors of red currant, loam, and meat drippings that we expect only to become more pronounced with some time in bottle. The finish shows sweet spices and dusty tannins that suggest some time in the cellar will be well rewarded. Drink any time over the next 15 years.

Product Notes

Tablas Creek Vineyard Paso Robles Mourvèdre is a wine that embodies the essence of the Paso Robles region. This full-bodied red wine is rich, complex, and full of character. The wine is made from Mourvèdre grapes that are grown using sustainable farming practices in the Tablas Creek Vineyard. This gives the wine a distinct terroir that reflects the local soil, climate, and topography. With aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and spice, this wine is perfect when paired with hearty meat dishes or simply enjoyed on its own. The wine has a long and smooth finish that leaves a lingering taste of ripe fruit and spices on the palate.

About the Winery

Tablas Creek Vineyard

Established in 1989, Tablas Creek Vineyard is a wine label created as a result of the friendship between two prominent winemaking families – Perin Family (with its origins in France’s Chateau de Beaucastel) and the Hass Family of Vineyard Brands. The family members searched all over California for the right wine-producing region, before they finalised a small plot in Paso Robles. The soil and terroir conditions of this place were similar to France’s Rhone Valley, which is why they decided to set up Tablas Creek Vineyard here.
