Tasting Note

A powerful nose of lacquered wood, new honey, dried orange peel, cardamom, and aromatic bitters. The palate is classic, with flavors of caramel and ripe pear, a little sweet oak, and a little bit of tannic bite that cleans the wine up on the long finish. The wine has only been in bottle for a few months, but it's already drinking well. Drink in the next 3 or 4 years for a more luscious, fruit-driven experience, or hold it for 8-15 years for a flavor profile of caramel, wet rocks, and hazelnut.

Product Notes

Tablas Creek Vineyard Paso Robles Roussanne is a unique white wine that is crafted through the use of traditional Rhône varietals. This wine is grown and produced in one of the most prestigious wine regions in the United States, Paso Robles, California. The wine is known for its distinct aromas of honeydew melon, pear, and honeycomb with an underlying minerality. It has an unforgettable taste of juicy fruits with a gentle acidity that gives a clean and sustained finish. This wine pairs well with spicy foods, seafood, and poultry. The Roussanne is a testament to the quality and refinement of Tablas Creek Vineyard's winemaking tradition.

About the Winery

Tablas Creek Vineyard

Established in 1989, Tablas Creek Vineyard is a wine label created as a result of the friendship between two prominent winemaking families – Perin Family (with its origins in France’s Chateau de Beaucastel) and the Hass Family of Vineyard Brands. The family members searched all over California for the right wine-producing region, before they finalised a small plot in Paso Robles. The soil and terroir conditions of this place were similar to France’s Rhone Valley, which is why they decided to set up Tablas Creek Vineyard here.
