Tasting Note

The 2019 Wanderer’s Heart is our Cape Red – a wine that is built around the incredible vineyards found all over the Western Cape. Aromas of ruby grapefruit, dark red berries and cassia bark. The wine is poised on the palate with soft, chalky tannins, which give way to a finish of black cherries, cedar wood and cinnamon. The wine is bright and keenly balanced, very pure in its fruit with a dusting of fine tannin to complete the picture.

Product Notes

Thorne & Daughters Wanderer's Heart Cape Red Blend is a premium wine blend from South Africa. This red blend is crafted using grapes sourced from old vineyards in the picturesque Western Cape region, producing a layered and complex wine. With a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Tinta Barocca, it delivers aromas of blackcurrant, pomegranate, and hints of fynbos florals. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with balanced and elegant tannins and a long finish. This is a wine that truly captures the essence of South Africa's winemaking heritage and the natural beauty of its terroir. It pairs well with grilled meat, spicy dishes, and hard cheese.
