About Viña San Pedro

Viña San Pedro is one of Chile’s oldest and most historic wine producers, founded in 1865 by the Correa Albano brothers in the fertile Curicó Valley. The family were pioneers in bringing classic French grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay to Chile, helping to shape the country’s modern wine industry. Over more than 150 years, the winery has grown from a traditional estate into a major international brand.

Today, Viña San Pedro forms part of the VSPT Wine Group, one of Chile’s largest wine exporters. VSPT is majority owned by Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas (CCU), giving the winery strong financial backing and global distribution reach.

The main winery and historic cellars are located near Molina in the Curicó Valley, around 200 km south of Santiago. However, the company owns and manages vineyards across key regions including Maipo, Casablanca, Cachapoal, Elqui and Maule, allowing it to produce a diverse range of styles.

Its portfolio spans accessible brands such as GatoNegro, the heritage-focused 1865 range, and flagship wines including Cabo de Hornos Cabernet Sauvignon, highlighting Chile’s varied terroirs and winemaking expertise.
