Tasting Note

`Meriggio` is pale lemon in colour with youthful hints. The nose displays fresh, grassy perfumes leading to a lively, lifted palate with a mineral undertone. A fragrant example of Sauvignon Blanc showing the characteristic high quality of all the Fontodi wines, it finishes on a long, elegant note.

Product Notes

Fontodi Meriggio Sauvignon Blanc is a premium white wine made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, grown in the central Tuscany region of Italy. This wine is characterized by its pale yellow color, and it has a strong, citrusy aroma of lemon peel, grapefruit, and ripe tropical fruit, with a subtle hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is fresh and crisp, with a zesty acidity and a dry finish. It is a perfect match for seafood dishes, shellfish, white meats, and vegetarian dishes, as well as being an excellent aperitif. Enjoy this wine with friends and family, and you will definitely get a kick out of it.

About the Winery

Fontodi

The Italian wine brand of Fontodi is managed by the Manetti Family from 1968. This is the same family that is known for its wineries in the Chianti region. Fontodi is a scenic place located at the foothills of the beautiful hills in the Panzano region. Ever since the Manetti Family took over this place in 1968, they did a lot of restructuring work here to make it one of the finest wine-producing regions in Italy. The unique climate and soil quality of Panzano make it ideal for growing the Sangiovese grape varietal.
