It is aged for 12 months in American oak barrels, which lends a pleasant vanilla and toasted coconut aroma. On the palate, it is rich and concentrated, with flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and subtle spice. The wine has a velvety mouthfeel and a long, satisfying finish.
