Tasting Note

Pleasantly fresh with a bouquet that hints of blackberries, blueberries and raspberries. On the palate, balsamic and minty notes balance out beautifully with hints of bergamot and jasmine. Spicy notes of clove and vanilla are just around the corner. Tertiary aromas of tobacco, cocoa powder and coffee bean are remarkably well-integrated. The finish is long and persistent.

Product Notes

Frescobaldi Castello Nipozzano Mormoreto Toscana IGT is an Italian red wine produced from grapes grown in the Tuscany region. The wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes. This complex blend results in a full-bodied wine with rich and intense flavors of dark berries, cherries, and spices, with a hint of vanilla and leather. It is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, giving it a smooth and elegant structure, with firm tannins and a long-lasting finish. This delicious and complex wine pairs well with hearty Italian dishes such as roast beef, aged cheeses, and tomato-based pasta sauces.

About the Winery

Frescobaldi

Frescobaldi is one of the most authentic Italian wines that you will find today because of its impressive 700-year-old history. This family played a vital role in the history of Florence city and has been crafting excellent Tuscan fine wines for a long time. Many centuries ago, the first Frescobaldi family members started as bankers, but then evolved to become the names behind some of the significant structures of Florence. The diversity of Tuscany is clearly visible in the Frescobaldi wine label. The family estates of Frescobaldi grow grapes and olives across Tuscany. Each and every terroir is given a lot of importance here; therefore, the product reflects the characteristics of the land where it is grown.
