Tasting Note

A radiant ruby-red colour. Among the main descriptors, fruity notes begin with red and black berries, including raspberry, wild strawberry, black cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry. These are supported by sweet vanilla and rounded off with balsamic notes, pepper and cinnamon. The palate is well-rounded and sumptuously elegant; the alcohol and acidic content balance out perfectly. The after-taste is fruity with a hint of juniper berry. The mineral finish is long and juicy.

Product Notes

Frescobaldi Castello Nipozzano Vecchie Viti Chianti Rúfina Riserva DOCG is a magnificent red wine made from Sangiovese grapes. The wine bears a Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) status, which guarantees its quality and proves that it meets specific requirements. The grapes for this wine are grown in Nipozzano, an ancient Tuscan village, and are harvested by hand. The aging process of this wine takes place in oak barrels for eighteen months, giving it intense aromas of black fruits, spices, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied, robust, and has a long-lasting finish. This wine pairs perfectly with hearty meat dishes, aged cheeses, or simply enjoyed on its own.

About the Winery

Frescobaldi

Frescobaldi is one of the most authentic Italian wines that you will find today because of its impressive 700-year-old history. This family played a vital role in the history of Florence city and has been crafting excellent Tuscan fine wines for a long time. Many centuries ago, the first Frescobaldi family members started as bankers, but then evolved to become the names behind some of the significant structures of Florence. The diversity of Tuscany is clearly visible in the Frescobaldi wine label. The family estates of Frescobaldi grow grapes and olives across Tuscany. Each and every terroir is given a lot of importance here; therefore, the product reflects the characteristics of the land where it is grown.
