Tasting Note

Loibenberg is known for its rich, bold and elegant wines. Bright yellow-green with silver reflections, this Riesling has delicate yellow peach, mango and hints of honey nuances. On the palate, the clean acidity adds wonderful length and great ageing potential to the wine.

This complex and elegant white wine showcases the unique terroir of the Loibenberg vineyard, with steep terraced slopes and rocky soils contributing to its vibrant character. About the Winery

F.X. Pichler

F.X. Pichler is one of Austria’s most celebrated wineries, located in the Wachau—a breathtaking stretch of the Danube Valley designated a UNESCO World Heritage site for its dramatic scenery. The Pichler family has cultivated vineyards in the region for five generations. Franz Xaver Pichler established the estate in 1971, and today his son, Lucas Pichler, continues the family’s winemaking legacy. What began as a modest three hectares under Lucas’s grandfather has grown to twenty hectares, and as of 2024 all single-vineyard sites are fully certified organic.
