Tasting Note

Golden pale yellow colour. Powerful and fresh on the nose. Aromas of citrus fruit, white flesh fruits such as pear, scents of garrigue and anise, notes of roasted hazelnuts. Mouth of great finesse and a beautiful minerality, iodized notes with touches of white pepper and flint. A lot of freshness on the finish with notes of acacia honey.

Product Notes

Gérard Bertrand Chateau L'Hospitalet Grand Vin Blanc La Clape is a sophisticated and elegant white wine that showcases the unique terroir of the La Clape region in the Languedoc. Made from a blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Bourboulenc grapes, this wine offers a complex bouquet of citrus fruits, white flowers, and subtle minerality. On the palate, it is rich and velvety with notes of stone fruits, honey, and a hint of oak. Its well-balanced acidity and long, lingering finish make it a perfect pairing for seafood dishes, creamy cheeses, or simply enjoyed on its own as a luxurious treat.

About the Winery

Gérard Bertrand

The story of Gérard Bertrand remains closely linked with three generations of the Bertrand family. The wine estate and winemaking craft have remained associated with the renowned winegrowers Paule, Georges, and Gérard Bertrand, getting passed down through generations. The winery’s fame started coming into light in 1975 when Georges Bertrand took his then ten-year-old son, Gérard, to harvest grapes on the Château de Villemajou in the Corbières wine appellation.
