Product Notes

Ghost Corner Pinot Noir is an extraordinary wine produced by the prestigious Ghost Corner Winery, located in the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge area of South Africa. This medium-bodied Pinot Noir has a complex and intense aroma of red berries, cherries and spice, followed by the perfect balance of acidity and tannin on the palate. The wine is best served slightly chilled and pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, mushrooms and seared fish.

The vineyards where the grapes are grown are situated on the southern coast of South Africa. These conditions create a unique microclimate that results in grapes with concentrated flavours and expressive terroir characteristics. Ghost Corner Pinot Noir wine is a true reflection of this unique location and the careful crafting of the highly skilled winemakers.

About the Winery

Ghost Corner

At the southernmost African tip lies the ghost corner wines. Over the years, over 130 ships have been destroyed by the treacherous waters. The issue with this area is the fact that compasses don’t show any deviation between the true and magnetic north. This makes navigating the area impossible, especially on stormy dark nights.
