Tasting Note

The classic ruby color of this wine is stunning and sets the stage for this robust Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose, aromas of tobacco, dark chocolate shavings, fresh black currant and hints of savoury notes. On the palate, layers of vanilla, coco powder, juicy cherry, baking spices and signature tobacco create a full body wine that is balanced by a splash of fresh acid and round, refined tannins.

Product Notes

Hope Family Wines Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles is a rich, full-bodied wine with a deep ruby color. The nose is complex with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and cassis, followed by notes of vanilla, oak, and spice. On the palate, flavors of black fruit and dark chocolate dominate with hints of coffee and earthy undertones. The tannins are firm, yet refined, leading to a long and satisfying finish. This Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Hope family's estate vineyards in Paso Robles and is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. It is a perfect match with grilled or roasted meats, especially lamb and beef.

Hope Family has been making wine in California, USA, for more than 30 years. They have been farming in Paso Robles and when they arrived, the region was barely discovered. They started planting grapes and apples. At that time, the oak studding terrain was still undiscovered, and no one knew that one day the area would hold viticultural terroir of great significance in one of the best winegrowing regions for red wine in central coast California.
