Product Notes

Louis Jadot Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru is a wine of exceptional quality and complexity. Made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru appellation of Burgundy, France, this wine is aged in oak barrels for 15-18 months to develop a rich and nuanced flavor. The nose is characterized by aromas of ripe yellow fruits, toasted nuts, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied and opulent, with notes of toasted bread, butter, honey, and white flowers. It has a long and smooth finish that leaves a lasting impression of its exceptional quality. This wine is perfect for pairing with rich and savory dishes such as roasted meats or creamy sauces.

Tasting Notes

A wine for which we could write a whole page to tell its colourful story. Perhaps the most full-bodied of the Grand Crus of Puligny and Chassagne. Sumptuous richness, great concentration and stunning intensity. A long lived wine with too many superlatives for a short tasting note

About the Winery

Louis Jadot

The wines of Burgundy are amongst the best that you can ever find. The terroir's quality and the climate conditions of this place make it one of the most premium wine-producing places in the world.  Louis Jadot, is one label that has been making exemplary French Burgundy wines ever since 1859. The idea of starting this company happened during 1826 when the Jadot family acquired small & individual lots of area in Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules.

Louis Henri Denis Jadot established this wine label in 1859, and this family-owned domaine has been making wine lovers happy to date. Jadot founded this company with the sole aim of popularising the richness of Burgundy wines to the North European countries. Today, many generations later, Louis Jadot wines continue to dominate the European markets.

In 1985, Madame Jadot decided to sell off the family-owned domaine of Louis Jadot to Rudy Kopf. Kopf, until then, was the US importer of the rich Jadot wines. Kopf decided to take the Jadot legacy forward by being true to this brand's rich cultural heritage. Thanks to the blend of ancient and modern winemaking techniques followed here, Louis Jadot is considered America's No.1 French Wine for many years.

Louis Jadot is one of the most important wine producers from the Burgundy region. They are extremely famous for the quality and quantity of grapes grown in their vineyards. While you can find the affordable varieties, such as Bourgogne and Beaujolais easily in the vineyards, you can also spot the most exclusive cru vines such as the Cote de Beaune Chablis.

The grapes that are grown massively in the family vineyards are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Some of the most important Burgundy vineyards where grapes for Louis Jadot wines are grown are Chapelle-Chambertin, Le Musigny, Clos de Vougeot and Echezeaux.
