Tasting Note

This bottling of Cristina exhibits deep, expansive aromas of cherries and black fruits, clove and orange peel. On the palate it opens up with intense, savory flavors: rich and seductive, with great balance between oak, fruit and acidity, refined tannins and solid structure. It will continue to develop for at least another 10-15 years. I would recommend serving it at cellar temperature, between 58-60° F, and it will benefit from decanting

Product Notes

Marimar Estate Cristina Pinot Noir is a graceful wine displaying an elegant combination of subtlety and complexity. The wine is made from carefully selected Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Russian River Valley. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted a minimum of three times before undergoing fermentation. This full-bodied wine offers a complex bouquet of ripe dark fruits, such as black cherries, plums, and raspberries. The wine is aged for 11 months in new French oak barrels, imparting a balanced and harmonious flavor profile. Marimar Estate Cristina Pinot Noir is a perfect wine to pair with grilled salmon, roasted chicken, or mushroom risotto, offering a magical experience in a single sip.

About the Winery

Marimar Estate

Marimar Torres, one of the prestigious winemaking families in the world, wanted to set up its legacy in California. The search for the perfect location ended in the Russian River Valley appellation, also known as the Green Valley appellation, located in the southern part of Sonoma County. Since this plot is located at a distance of just 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, this plot is blessed with a cool climate all through the year. Therefore, the climatic conditions are ideal for growing some of the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals in California.
