Tasting Note

Straw-yellow colour with intense green highlights. Nose: High aromatic intensity with a first touch of freshness, caramel and cocoa which reminds of the oak influence in the wine. Then the varietal fruit notes take place in a more ripe and soothing way: quince and apple compote. Palate: Balanced and structured. Round, full-bodied and powerful with a nice balanced acidity thanks to the bâtonnage, as well as spiced and long lasting.

Product Notes

Martín Códax Organistrum Rías Baixas Albariño is a premium white wine that hails from the famous wine region of Rías Baixas in Galicia, Spain. Made with 100 % Albariño grapes, it boasts a bright and fresh taste that is marked by notes of ripe fruit, citrus, and a subtle minerality. The crisp acidity and smooth mouthfeel make it a delightful drink that is perfect for pairing with seafood, salads, and other light meals. The wine is named after the medieval instrument Organistrum, which is known for creating harmonious and melodic music, just like this wine creates a harmonious and pleasurable drinking experience.

About the Winery

Martín Códax

The Galician Winery of Martin Codax was established only in 1986; it is one of the newest to have arrived in the Spanish wine market. However, within a short time, this brand has been successful in giving global recognition to the unique Albarino grape varietal that it uses for creating its premium wines. Set in the scenic Spanish fishing village of Cambados, the Martin Codax winery is located in the serene Salnes Valley towards the northwest of Pontevedra.
