A bright fruited, expressive nose, with notes of dark cherry, juniper berry and an intriguing hint of fennel and manuka flower. There is a savoury taste with firm tannins and ripe fruit finishing with a lively mineral edge to balance. Unfined. Unfiltered.

Product Notes

Millton La Cote Pinot Noir is a sophisticated and elegant wine that captures the essence of the vineyard's natural terroir. Produced in New Zealand's Gisborne region, this Pinot Noir features a ruby red hue, with aromas of black cherry, red currant, and subtle oak. The flavors are a rich and complex blend of cherry, raspberry, and dark chocolate which are enhanced by a hint of spice. The tannins are firm and well balanced, providing a smooth and velvety finish. This wine is best enjoyed alongside a fine meal of grilled salmon, lamb or duck. Overall, the Millton La Cote Pinot Noir is a premium wine that is bound to impress even the most discerning of wine enthusiasts.

About the Winery

Millton

Established in 1984, the Millton Vineyards and Winery holds the distinction of being certified as the first organic and biodynamic wine from New Zealand. James and Annie Millton had travelled to some of the premium wine-producing countries such as France & Germany and worked at the best estates there. With their knowledge and winemaking passion, they returned to the Gisborne appellation and planned to set up their own company near North Island.
