Product Notes

Château du Cèdre Marcel Malbec is a French red wine made from pure Malbec grapes grown in the south-west region of France. This deeply colored wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, producing a complex and elegant aroma that is characterized by intense notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, and dark cherries, elegantly balanced by tones of vanilla, spices, and toast. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with a velvety, round texture and a long, slightly spicy finish. Château du Cèdre Marcel Malbec pairs perfectly with roasted meats, game, and mature cheeses, making it an excellent choice for special occasions and fine dining experiences.

About the Winery

Château du Cèdre

Located in the southwestern part of France in Cahors, the Chateau du Cedre wine brand has a rich history that dates back to as early as 1958. It was during this time that Leon Verhaeghe moved to Cahors from Flanders. He, along with wife, Marie-Therese and son, Charles, started viticulture in a farm in Cahors on three small plots.
