Tasting Note

This Recioto di Soave has an intense gold, almost amber colour and boasts dried apricot and lightly toasted almond aromas. The wine has a perfectly balanced palate, with just the right level of delicate sweetness offset by fresh acidity. Lovely, rich, almost exotic fruit comes through on the palate, with a baked peach character and a long, perfumed finish.

Product Notes

Pieropan Le Colombare Recioto di Soave is an elegant and vibrant dessert wine from the Veneto region in Italy. Made from 100% Garganega grapes, the wine is rich in aromas of honey, dried apricots, and caramelized sugar. The palate is velvety and sweet, with flavors of candied citrus fruit, almonds, and a hint of minerality that provide a refreshing finish. This wine is produced using the appassimento method, which involves drying the grapes on straw mats after the harvest to concentrate their flavors and sugars. Pieropan Le Colombare Recioto di Soave pairs beautifully with desserts such as fruit tarts, cheesecake, and chocolate truffles.
