Product Notes

Pulenta Estate VII Gran Corte is a premium red wine that comes from Argentina's Mendoza region. This wine is a blend of 45% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, and 5% Tannat, resulting in a complex and well-structured wine. The intense and deep red color reminds you of its concentration of flavor. This wine offers a rich bouquet of ripe black fruits, sweet spices, vanilla, and chocolate with hints of tobacco and coffee. On the palate, it is full-bodied with silky tannins, balancing acidity, and a long finish. This wine pairs perfectly with grilled meats, stews, and hard cheeses.

Tasting Notes

In color, the wine is an attractive, intense red with dark tones. It expresses fruit notes of plum, cherry, and dark fruits, with several spices like thyme, oregano, and black pepper, given by some of the components of the blend, which make the wine delicate and complex. On the palate it is elegant but structured, with a persistent finish making it a wine hard to forget.

About the Winery

Pulenta Estate

The past of Pulenta Estate remains closely related to the history of its founders’ immigration to Argentina. The Pulenta family was originally residents of Italy who moved to Argentina in the initial years of the 20th century. There, they adopted the practices and methods of Argentine viticulture and continued to practice and implement them for four generations. The establishment and birth of the Pulenta Estate came into the picture in 2002 when Hugo and Eduardo Pulenta, the children of Antonio Pulenta, worked to set a winery.

The two descendants of their Italian immigrant ancestors brought together valuable experience and a skilled workforce. They did so to create a state-of-the-art yet conventional winery to continue their family tradition. They kept the aspects of aesthetics and technicality in mind when constructing Pulenta Estate on one of the lands or vineyards that their father passed down to them. The building showcases a style characterised by Italian tradition, producing wines that emphasise the elegance of the taste and the fruit of origin.

Pulenta Estate lies in the primary wine-producing region of Argentina, in Mendoza’s Alto Agrelo. It makes the site an excellent place to grow vines and produce wines of superior distinction and class.

The winery has two vineyards of 135 hectares, planted with Merlot, Chardonnay, Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grape varieties get used individually or as a blend to produce wines of the highest quality.

Pulenta Estate experiences the perfect climatic conditions required for the growth and development of the grapevines. It enjoys a desirable amount of rainfall, sunshine, and wind currents that enhance the natural fruitiness of the grapes and improve their flavour and aroma. In addition to these aspects, the strict and flawless work put behind the care of the vineyards allows Pulenta Estate to acquire superior results.
