Tasting Note

Deep ruby in colour, the 2023 Estate Cabernet offers aromas of toasty oak and blackberry. The full‑bodied palate is structured and vibrant, showing firm tannins, bright acidity and notes of mint on the long, refined finish. This is a poised and expressive Cabernet that captures the mountain freshness, depth and classical structure of the Monte Bello Estate.

Product Notes

Ridge Vineyards Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a premium wine that showcases the best expression of the Cabernet Sauvignon varietal. It is made from grapes grown on the steep, rocky slopes of the Monte Bello Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The wine has a deep ruby color that hints at the intensity of flavors to come. On the nose, it offers aromas of black cherry, currant, vanilla, and spice. The rich, full-bodied palate is layered with dark fruit flavors, subtle oak, and a hint of tobacco. The tannins are firm yet supple, leading to a long, satisfying finish. This is a wine that will age gracefully for years to come and is an excellent choice for special occasions or a night of indulgence.

About the Winery

Ridge Vineyards

The story of Ridge Vineyards starts in 1885 with its founder, Osea Perrone. Osea was a doctor by profession. He purchased 180 acres of land at a place close to the top of the Monte Bello Ridge. He worked on the slopes and prepared them to plant vineyards. He used native limestone to construct the winery. At that time, the name of the winery was Monte Bello Winery.
