Tasting Note

The bouquet is highly perfumed with aromas of fresh green apple, jasmine, and lemonbalm with a hints of honeysuckle and fresh linen. The palate is crisp yet silky-soft, with a fine, talc-like minerality imparting a pleasing slipperiness to the texture in the mouth. The bright flavours of Granny Smith apple and yuzu run a fine line between sweet and tart, while the elegant and complex palate is punctuated with bright natural acidity, imparting exceptional length and a clean, crisp finish.

Product Notes

Rieslingfreak No.2 Polish Hill River Riesling is a stunning example of Australian craftsmanship in wine production. This vibrant white wine embodies the unique characteristics of the Polish Hill River region, known for its cool climate and limestone-rich soils. The nose is filled with aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, and a hint of minerality. On the palate, flavors of lime, grapefruit, and crisp acidity dance across the tongue, leading to a refreshing and lingering finish. This wine is perfect for those who appreciate the elegance and complexity of a well-crafted Riesling. Enjoy it on its own or paired with seafood dishes for a truly memorable experience.

About the Winery

Though there are quite a lot of grape varietals in the world today, not many are as flexible and diverse as the Riesling. This is one such varietal that can be used to make many types of wines such as dry, sweet, sparkling, fortified and the like. It can also be grown in different climatic conditions and soil qualities. All of these factors attracted John Hughes towards the Riesling brand so much that when he set up his wine company in the year 2009, he named it Rieslingreak!
