Product Notes

Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine Chardonnay is a premium wine from the renowned South African winery, Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons. This elegant Chardonnay is named after Baroness Nadine de Rothschild, the co-founder of the winery who passed away in 2019. The wine is made using only the finest grapes, hand-harvested from the estate's vineyards in Franschhoek. It is then aged in French oak barrels for ten months to create a luxurious complexity with delightful notes of vanilla, honey, and fresh citrus. Baroness Nadine Chardonnay is a wine that exudes class and style, reflecting the passion of the founders and winemakers who have devoted their lives to producing exceptional wines.

About the Winery

Rupert & Rothschild

The winemaking history of the Rothschild winemaking is rooted in France. This was when James de Rothschild got possession of the Bordeaux estate chateau Lafite back in 1868. This is where he got passionate about vines, which has continued for years. His great-grandson continued the legacy. The grandson, Baron Edmond de Rothschild, was motivated by the desire to create the finest wines all over the world, and he established some outstanding wineries within Europe and later in different parts of the world. This collection forms his heritage.
