Product Notes

Sacchetto Fili Prosecco DOC Extra Dry is a sparkling wine made from Glera grapes, sourced from the Veneto region of Northern Italy. The wine is produced using the Charmat method, in which the second fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank. This results in a fresh and fruity wine with a bouquet of apple, pear, and citrus notes. The palate is crisp and clean, with a delicate balance of sweetness and acidity. With a low alcohol content, Sacchetto Fili Prosecco DOC Extra Dry is perfect for sipping as an aperitif, pairing with light seafood dishes, or even enjoying on its own as an indulgent treat.

Tasting Notes

Fine bubbles, the wine is fruity with a floral and fresh bouquet. Hints of citrus on the finish.

About the Winery

Veneto, in Italy, is one of the ancient and culture-rich places you have to visit if you want the taste of authentic Italian wine. Sacchetto, based out of Veneto, was established during the start of the 19th century. Sisito Sacchetto set up this label after World War 1, and by the 1950s and 60s, his company started gaining immense popularity, thanks to Sisito’s technical knowledge about winemaking.

Today, Sisito’s son and his grandchildren, controlling the family’s beautiful wine estate, Prapian Estate, located right in the middle of the DOCG Valdobbiadene Prosecco region in Veneto. The Prosecco region is always known to be quite complex, when compared to other wine-growing regions in the world. It is a well-protected place, and the vineyards here unique, indeed! This is because the region is characterised by special microclimatic conditions, its proximity to the sea, the excellence of terroirs and the vicinity of the mountains.

The Prapian Estate, located in this region, stretches across 45 hectares in the DOCG Valdobbiadene regions and for about 20 hectares in the DOCG Asolo-Nevasa regions. The soil quality, which is a blend of the features from the Miocene and Ice Age periods, along with the microclimate, is perfect for growing glera grapes here. This is not just an estate where the wines are produced, but a reflection of the Sacchetto family’s attention to detail and precision while making wines.

§The winery is built in such a way that it reflects the true character of the fruits. It has been designed after hours of consultation with the expert winemaking team at Sacchetto and professional oenologists. While traditional practices are still followed here, you can also see a blend of creative technologies being introduced in the winemaking process.

Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Marzemino, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Nero and Sauvignon Blanc are some of the common varietals used for creating Sacchetto wines.
