Product Notes

San Marzano Il Pumo Salice Salentino wine is a delightful red wine from Southern Italy's Apulia region. Crafted with meticulous care, this wine showcases the native grape varieties, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. It displays a deep ruby color and exudes intense aromas of ripe plums, cherries, and blackberries. On the palate, it is well-balanced, with soft tannins and a velvety texture. Notes of spice and chocolate make for a complex and satisfying finish. This wine pairs excellently with hearty meat dishes, rich pasta sauces, and mature cheeses. San Marzano Il Pumo Salice Salentino is a true representation of the region's winemaking heritage and a delightful indulgence for wine enthusiasts.

About the Winery

San Marzano

In the year 1962, 19 winemakers of the San Marzano village in the Primitivo di Manduria DOC region of Italy, joined hands to form the Cantine San Marzano wine label. One of the major highlights of this union was that during that time, the village didn’t even belong to a formal appellation, but still the winemakers came together to create a label that was to produce wines that represented the true terroirs of Italy.
