Product Notes

Scribe Carneros Pinot Noir is an exceptional wine crafted in the Carneros region of Sonoma, California. Made by Scribe Winery, a boutique winery founded in 2007 by two brothers, this Pinot Noir is an example of the winery's focus on responsible farming practices and minimal-intervention winemaking. The wine exhibits a deep red color and an exquisite aroma of cherries, blackberries, and red fruits combined with a hint of oak and spicy notes. The palate is beautifully balanced, showing flavors of red and dark berries, violets, and a slight earthiness. This is a rich, complex, and elegant wine that is perfect for pairing with grilled meats, light pasta dishes, and artisanal cheeses.

About the Winery

Scribe

The story and endeavour of Scribe Winery initially began with Emil Dresel, a German pioneer. Emil set up a winery on a small plot in California in 1858 and named it Dresel & Co. However, the government declared and enforced a prohibition on winemaking and its production in 1919. Thus, Emil and his winery adopted an illegal approach to making the drinks, selling them in medicine bottles to avoid getting caught.
