Tasting Note

Vette is named for the imposing peaks that rise above its Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, and it is the true height of refreshing crispness and earthy minerality.

Product Notes

Tenuta San Leonardo Vette di San Leonardo Sauvignon Blanc is a classic white wine hailing from Trentino, Italy. This excellent Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from grapes grown on the sun-drenched slopes of the Dolomite Mountains under the expert hands of winemaker Carlo Ferrini. The grapevines benefit from the cool Alpine air, which preserves their delicate aromas and flavors. The result is a wine with a refreshing acidity, harmonious and balanced on the palate, with a complex bouquet of green apple, lemon, tropical fruits, and hints of minerality. This wine is perfect to pair with light seafood dishes or summer salads and is an excellent example of the elegance and quality that Italian wine can offer.

About the Winery

Tenuta San Leonardo

The family-owned wine estate of Tenuta San Leonardo, located in Italy, has a rich history that dates back to 1724. Located near the Trentino Mountains and Lake Garda, this estate follows the 300-year old viticultural practices even today, as a result of which, it crafts fresh, elegant and crisp wines to date. Over 300 years ago, the men of this historic wine family were warriors, who had great pride in their professions. One of the ancestors of this family, Marchese Tullo married Gemma de Gresti. Gresti’s family had owned the Tenuta San Leonardo wine estate for over 200 years. So, from then on, the family started to take winemaking seriously, and the rest is history!
