Tasting Note

Hanepoot (Muscat Alexandrie) is actually a table grape and meant for eating but we did an experiment in 2013 with skin contact to try and extract the flavour and it has made one of our most refreshing wines to drink

Product Notes

Testalonga Sweet Cheeks Muscat is a white wine made from the Muscat grape variety by Craig Hawkins, a renowned winemaker from South Africa. It brings an intensely floral character with aromas of jasmine and orange blossom that lead into a lush and fruity palate, with notes of apricot, peach, and a touch of honey. The wine is naturally fermented, unfiltered, and has no added sulphur, imparting an honest and authentic sense of place through its unique flavor profile. Testalonga Sweet Cheeks Muscat is a superb wine to enjoy on its own, but it can also pair beautifully with spicy foods and Asian cuisine.

About the Winery

Testalonga

Testalonga Winery is one of the newest wineries in the world. It was set up by Craig and Carla Hawkins in the year 2008. Located along the Swartland Mountains of South Africa, this winery is slowly picking up a name for itself in the winemaking industry. The owners of this winery recently announced that they were taking around 11 hectares of the organic vineyards on the granite soils of Paardeberg and 4 hectares of vineyards on the sandstone soils of Piketberg on rent.
