Tasting Note

Deep gold in colour. On the nose the wine boasts intense aromas of green figs, quince, almond and jasmine combined with savoury notes of oat biscuits, barley and a subtle spiciness. On the palate the wine is rich, textured and complex with a saline minerality and a lasting finish.

Product Notes

Thorne & Daughters Paper Kite Old Vine Semillon is a white wine that is an excellent representation of the Western Cape region of South Africa. It is made with semillon grapes sourced from old vines, resulting in a complex and full-bodied wine with a beautiful golden hue. On the nose, you will detect aromas of lemon, lime, and apricot, and on the palate, you will experience a burst of citrusy flavors with a pleasant mineral finish. This wine has aged gracefully, giving rise to a subtle hint of nuttiness. It is best served chilled and pairs well with seafood, chicken, or light pasta dishes.
