Tasting Note

Inky ruby red tinged with purple hints. The nose unfurls a typical Cabernet profile of intense, clean, refined spice notes of coffee, black pepper, liquorice and tobacco against a backdrop of grass and hay. The mouth unfurls forest berries, vanilla and mineral aromas, and noticeable but mature tannins all in harmony with the wine’s elegance.

Product Notes

Umani Ronchi Pelago is a beautiful and rich red wine that is produced in the Marche region of central Italy. It is a blend of two traditional grape varietals, Sangiovese and Montepulciano, which are grown in vineyards with ideal soil conditions and climate. The wine is aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels, which gives it a wonderful depth and complexity. The aroma of this wine is intense, with a mix of juicy red fruits, cherries, and chocolate. On the palate, it is soft, elegant, and well-balanced, with flavors of ripe dark fruit and a hint of spice. Umani Ronchi Pelago is a perfect accompaniment to grilled meat, pasta, or aged cheese. It is a truly exquisite wine that embodies the essence of Italian winemaking.

About the Winery

Umani Ronchi

Italian wines are highly elegant, and they represent the true character of the rich terroirs where they are produced. Umani Ronchi is no exception to this rule. The Bianchi-Bernetti family, the owner of the Umani Ronchi wine label, has been passionate about winemaking ever since 1957. They laid the foundation for this label in Cupramontana, located right in the heart of the Verdicchio Classico region. The management and winemaking team at Umani Ronchi strive hard to create wines representing the richness of the Verdicchio and Montepulciano grape varietals.
