Product Notes

Vigneti del Salento Zolla Primitivo di Manduria is a wine that will tantalize your taste buds with its rich, robust flavor and aroma. From the Puglia region of Italy, this red wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes that are handpicked and carefully selected to ensure only the best grapes make it into the bottle. With its deep ruby color, it has a complex bouquet of ripe fruit, spice, and a hint of oak. The taste is full-bodied with ripe red fruit flavors and a lingering finish. This wine pairs excellently with hearty Italian cuisine or grilled meats and also makes a great wine to enjoy on its own.

Tasting Notes

This wine is ruby red in colour with a violet hue. It has intense aromas of red cherries, blackberries and hints of spice and leather. These aromas follow through on to the palate, which is rich and velvety with generous tannins and great length.

About the Winery

Vigneti del Salento

Located in the historic and fertile region of Puglia in Italy, the Vigneti Del Salento is a winery that belongs to the Farnese Vini Group. The grapes are cultivated in selected lots in the vineyards of Puglia. The group has signed a contract with the local wine growers of this region, thanks to which, it has complete access to grow, maintain and harvest the fruits from the selected lots allotted to it here.

Though Puglia is a hot and dry area, it enjoys a cool maritime breeze during the nights. This helps to bring a balance in the temperature levels so that the grapes can ripen naturally and perfectly. The family waits until it is the right time before it harvests the fruits grown here. Since only very small lots are involved, the entire harvesting process is completed within three days.

The wines crafted here have the symbol of I Muri on their bottles. I Muri, in Italian, refers to the walls that are constructed over these vineyards for clear demarcation purposes. Primitivo and Negoramaro are the two indigenous varietals used for the Vigneti Del Salento wines.

While there are quite a few red wines manufactured in this label, you will find only white wine created here. It is the I Muri Bianco Puglia ICP. It is made from Malvasia Bianca, Chardonnay and Verdeca varietals. The red wines are classified according to the areas where they are created. Puglia, Malvasia Nera Salento IGP, Salice Salentino PDO, etc. are some of the regions where the red varietals of Primitivo, Nergroamaro and Malvasia Nera are grown to make these wines.

You can trust a Farnese Vini brand of wines to give you an enriching wine-tasting experience at all times. It is for this very reason that they have been regarded as the best wine producer of Italy for three years – 2016, 2017 and 2019.
