Tasting Note

Much like a red wine with tannin and tension, this orange wine has notes of cider, dried lemon and savoury herbs. Aptly named "Erde" meaning earth this wine is eccentric but ideally suited for those fans of orange wines and extremely tannic white wines.

Product Notes

Weingut Sepp & Maria Muster Erde is a family-run winery located in the rolling hills of Styria, Austria. Since taking over the estate in 2000, the Muster family has focused on sustainable and biodynamic farming practices, producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of their vineyards. The winery produces a range of white, red, and sparkling wines using native Austrian grape varieties such as Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Blauer Wildbacher. The wines are fermented and aged in traditional wooden barrels, resulting in complex and elegant wines with a distinct character. Weingut Sepp & Maria Muster Erde is a must-visit for any wine lover seeking authentic and artisanal Austrian wines.

About the Winery

Weingut Sepp & Maria Muster

Located towards the southern part of Styria and close to Slovenia's border, the Sepp & Muster winery is a family-owned estate that makes its wines from a small, 22-hectare vineyard, owned by Sepp & Muster.  Out of these, 10 hectares are under the vine currently. They took over their family-owned estate in 2000 and started making wines on a large scale under this label.  The family aims to grow grapes only on healthy soils, thereby producing rich and intense wines every single time.
