Product Notes

Bodega Norton Altura Malbec is a robust and opulent red wine originating from Argentina, renowned for its ideal growing conditions for Malbec grapes. The wine is characterized by a deep, intense ruby color and a complex aroma of dark fruit, spices, and vanilla. On tasting, it boasts a satisfying texture, with a rich and full-bodied flavor that is defined by notes of black cherry, blackberry, and plum, complemented by hints of chocolate, coffee, and tobacco. Its smooth finish is rounded out by well-integrated tannins and a balanced acidity. The Bodega Norton Altura Malbec is a perfect accompaniment to grilled meats, strong cheeses, and hearty stews.

About the Winery

Bodega Norton

Located in the wine-rich Mendoza region of Argentina, Bodega Norton is an ancient and reputed winery that was established in 1895 by Sir Edmund James Palmer Norton. Almost 100 years later, in 1989, this wine label was acquired by a businessman from Austria, Gernot Langes-Swarovski. Today, the wines created by the Bodega Norton label are true representations of the character and flavour of the Argentinian grapes.
