Tasting Note

Deep garnet in colour with an alluring complex aroma of dark-cherry, plums and roasted vanilla bean. The palate is powerful and well structured, fleshy, with chewy textured tannins finishing with polish and focus. The 2016 was an exceptional Barossa vintage indicating this wine will mature well for many years.

Product Notes

Sons of Eden Romulus Old Vine Shiraz is a rich and full-bodied red wine hailing from the Barossa Valley in Australia. Made with grapes from old vines, many of which are over 100 years old, this Shiraz boasts deep, intense flavors of black currant, blackberry, plum, and spice. Its velvety texture and complex tannins make it a perfect pairing for hearty meat dishes and aged cheeses. This wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, adding layers of vanilla and caramel to the finish. Sons of Eden Romulus Old Vine Shiraz is a bold and luxurious wine that will delight any fan of full-bodied reds.

About the Winery

Sons of Eden

Sons of Eden’s history started in 2000 when it was established, and at the time, it was deeply involved in high-quality wine crafting. Barossa varieties are from thirty unique vineyards that are handpicked and processed in the small-batch winery with very little intervention. This is what gives the wines such a strong individuality sense.
