Taste Profile
Tasting Note
The Tithing is a dark, deep, rich style of Grenache with an earthiness to the nose. The palate shows dark cherry and hints of aniseed. Layers of fine French oak add complexity and spice.
Product Notes
Willunga 100 The Tithing McLaren Vale Grenache is an exquisite wine that pays homage to the ancient practice of 'tithing'. Derived from the Old English word 'teogothian', tithe translates to one-tenth and refers to the practice of giving one-tenth of an estate's produce to the church. This Grenache from the McLaren Vale region of Australia is a true gem using only the finest grapes to create a beautifully full-bodied wine with a rich ruby hue. The palate is awash with juicy raspberries, cherries and hints of vanilla, beautifully integrated with fine tannins and an excellent finish. The Willunga 100 The Tithing McLaren Vale Grenache is an excellent example of bold, full-bodied Australian wine at its best.
